I'm a Celebrity returns to our TV screens later this month

Although ITV are yet to confirm which famous faces will undergo the gruelling tasks in the Australian jungle, it has been hotly rumoured that broadcaster Danny Baker has signed up for the series. The 59-year-old is reportedly the most expensive signing so far - netting him a mammoth six-figure sum.

The Sun claims the British radio DJ - who recently revealed he had beaten his six-year cancer battle - doesn't actually need the money but the offer from ITV was "far too tempting".

"Danny has become this year's highest-paid celebrity in the jungle so far with a six-figure sum," a source revealed. "He's a real broadcasting legend, so show bosses were desperate to sign him. Danny doesn't need the cash, but producers made him an offer he just couldn't refuse. He's a real curveball name, and they’re the sort ITV want."

Meanwhile, other stars rumoured to be appearing on I'm A Celeb include ex-EastEnders actor Larry Lamb, McFly's Tom Fletcher, former Countdown star Carol Vorderman, Gogglebox's Scarlet Moffatt and Olympic champion Louis Smith.
