Tom Fletcher
McFly star Tom Fletcher recently teased fans that he could be one of the yet-to-be unveiled stars heading to the jungle this year. The 31-year-old uploaded a cryptic post on Instagram last month, prompting speculation that he's set to appear on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. Revealing that he received a parcel containing a cockroach in the post, the British musician wrote: "You know it's going to be a cool package when you open it to find this.." Fans were quick to assume he's set to take part in the ITV reality TV series, with one writing: "Is Tom gonna be on I'm a celeb??? That's makes me wanna watch it this year!!"
Carol Vorderman
Although she has shunned reality TV in the past, Carol Vorderman is one of the hot favourites to take part this year – well, according to close friend and showbiz journalist, Richard Arnold. Speaking recently on Good Morning Britain, he said: "It is something me and Carol have talked about over lunch. Possibly canoodling under the jungle canopy to the tune of £250,000, which will be one of the biggest deals that the bosses upstairs have ever spent on a celeb."
Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini
His divorce from Cheryl has been the talk of the town these past few weeks, and appearing on a new reality TV show could give Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini the chance to reveal his side of the story. A source told NOW magazine: "He'd really like to become a UK TV personality. When he was with Cheryl he shunned the limelight but now he's single he wants to build up his reputation. "He wants to get himself on screen and is in talks to get onto a big ITV show. I'm sure the guys behind 'I'm A Celebrity...' would love to have him on board and JB may consider that."
Danny Baker
It has been hotly rumoured that broadcaster Danny Baker has signed up for the series. The 59-year-old is reportedly the most expensive signing so far - netting him a mammoth six-figure sum. The Sun claims the British radio DJ - who recently revealed he had beaten his six-year cancer battle - doesn't actually need the money but the offer from ITV was "far too tempting". "Danny has become this year's highest-paid celebrity in the jungle so far with a six-figure sum," a source revealed. "He's a real broadcasting legend, so show bosses were desperate to sign him. “Danny doesn't need the cash, but producers made him an offer he just couldn't refuse. He's a real curveball name, and they’re the sort ITV want."
Scarlett Moffatt
She has become a firm fan favourite among Gogglebox viewers, so it's no wonder ITV bosses are believed to be pulling out the stops to bring Scarlett Moffatt onto the show. A TV insider revealed to The Sun: "Scarlett has gone down really well on Gogglebox and I’m A Celeb producers think she's a perfect fit for them. Her hilarious one liners and frank views make great telly for Channel 4 so they want a bit of the action."
Jessica Wright
She's not afraid of the limelight, so it's only natural that for Jessica Wright wants the chance to show fans the "real" her in the Australian jungle. She recently told the Daily Star: "I really love reality TV, I feel Big Brother or I'm A Celeb would really give me the opportunity to show off the real Jess. TOWIE was great but it was edited down." She would be the latest TOWIE star keen to make her mark on I'm A Celebrity; former contestants include her brother Mark Wright and close friend Ferne McCann, as well as former co-stars Joey Essex and Gemma Collins.
Craig Charles
He was forced to pull out of the show after the shock death of his brother in 2014, but it seems Craig Charles has high hopes of making a surprise return to the jungle. "The producers are eager to get Craig back in the jungle after he had to sadly leave so early on in the run 2 years ago because of his brother’s death," a source told The Sun. "He was a popular camp mate in the short time he was in and bosses know he would have been a great contestant if he’d stayed on the show."
Lisa Snowdon
She's the much-loved television personality who waltzed her way into third place on Strictly Come Dancing in 2008, and previously dated Hollywood star George Clooney. No stranger to competition, Lisa Snowdon could be the perfect fit for the upcoming series of the creepy-crawly show. "She fits the mould of an I'm A Celeb contestant, she’s got a great sense of humour, gets on well with people and is easy on the eye," a source told The Sun. "They've had discussions about her going Down Under later this year."
Wayne Bridge
Although he's happily married to Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge, ITV chiefs are hoping football star Wayne will open up about his past relationship with ex-girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel, who famously had an affair with former England captain John Terry. A source told The Sun: "Wayne never really sought fame when he was a footballer so it's surprising he agreed to go in the jungle. But ITV believe they've made a real coup getting him on board as he's never discussed the John Terry scandal before."
Larry Lamb
Larry Lamb, who played Archie Mitchell in EastEnders, is tipped to head to the jungle next week after signing up for the show. A source told The Mirror that the 69-year-old has signed an impressive six-figure sum contract. "It's a mega coup for the show, they have wanted to get Larry for a long time and he finally agreed to it this year," the insider said, adding that Larry will be a "massive hit" as he is "very popular with the ladies".
