WATCH: Emma Watson dazzles as Belle in first full trailer for Beauty and the Beast

Disney has finally released the highly anticipated full trailer for its upcoming live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast! Fans immediately went into social media meltdown, sharing their excitement at getting their first proper look at Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast.

The two-minute clip takes viewers inside the Beast's enchanted castle, and gives the first glimpse of Ewan McGregor and Ian McKellen as servants-turned-household-objects Lumiere and Cogsworth. The video also features sneak peeks of Luke Evans as villain Gaston leading a mob of villagers, as well as a dramatic scene where Belle and the Beast face off against a pack of wolves.

There was one particular moment that sent social media into a frenzy: the iconic ballroom dance. The enchanting scene sees Belle and the Beast waltzing across a stunning candlelit backdrop – with Emma wearing a gorgeous recreation of Belle's famous yellow ballgown from the 1991 animated original.

Viewers were quick to express their admiration for the new leading lady Emma, with many hailing her as the "perfect" choice to play Belle.

"The perfect casting ever: Emma Watson As Belle," one fan wrote on Twitter, while another added: "I'm also happy that Emma Watson is playing Belle she fits her so perfectly too."

The actress herself has previously shared her excitement at landing the role, admitting that her heart was "bursting" when she first discovered she had been cast.

"I'm finally able to tell you … that I will be playing Belle in Disney's new live-action Beauty and the Beast!" Emma wrote on her Facebook page when the news broke. "It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I'll get to dance to Be Our Guest and sing Something There."

She added: "My six year old self is on the ceiling — heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can't wait for you to see it. Emma xx".

Fans will have to hold on until next year to watch the film, which hits cinemas in March 2017.
