The new series of Channel 4's The Jump looks set to be a star-studded affair. The first celebrity contestants have been revealed, according to MailOnline, with former Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews leading the pack. Joining the reality show star are retired Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas and Rugby World Cup winner Jason Robinson.
The controversial Channel 4 show will return for its fourth series early next year following a safety standards review of the 2016 competition, which saw several contestants suffer severe injuries.
Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle was hurt after she crashed into a barrier during practice on this year's series of The Jump, which averaged 2.3m million viewers.

Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington was the first to leave the show, having dislocated her shoulder, while Made In Chelsea's Mark-Francis Vandelli was also forced to quit the competition after fracturing his ankle.
Other victims included sporting ace Linford Christie, former pop star Sarah Harding, TV presenter Joe Swash, media personality Heather Mills and actress Tina Hobley, who dislocated her elbow.

Speaking soon after the incident, Tina told HELLO!: "My elbow came out of its socket and my arm was broken in two places. I tore my rotator cuff in my shoulder - a common rugby injury which has ended careers - and I had a full rupture of my ACL [anterior cruciate ligament] in the knee.
"I look at my body in a very different way now. My body is so precious and I wouldn't put my body or my family through that trauma again."

Channel 4 previously released a statement about the show's safety, saying: "All events are planned with thorough health and safety procedures in place and the competitors' safety is always of upmost importance.
"There will always be an element of risk when competing in winter sports but all competitors undergo rigorous training and instruction with health and safety experts present. No competitor is cleared to take part unless the trainers deem their ability as proficient."
