I'm A Celebrity star Martin Roberts has revealed he received a tearful apology from campmate Larry Lamb after they left the jungle. Appearing on Thursday's This Morning, the Homes Under The Hammer presenter recalled the moment he confronted the former EastEnders actor who called him a "lower middle class snob".
"By the time it was our final morning - I was having breakfast with Kirsty and the kids - and who should walk up but Larry and his lovely lady," the 53-year-old told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. "It was the last I was probably going to see them and I just grabbed Larry and hugged him. And I kept hold of him and said this is a real hug, and he just broke down in tears. He said, 'I am so so sorry about the way I acted towards you, and I am so sorry about what I said.'"

Speaking about his past experiences with bullying when he was a schoolboy, Martin revealed it was harder to deal with criticism in the jungle as there was no escape. "The emotions you go through in the jungle are intense, and that explains some of the things that happen, but it does dig deep into your internal psyche, so things from your past - like that fact I was badly bullied at school and always the last to be picked for sports things.
"It was five years of bullying, really badly, and it's going to do bad things to your self-esteem... and in normal life if there are people you didn't get on with, you'd give them a wide berth, but you're stuck in the middle of the jungle and you can't get away!"

Speaking on I'm A Celebrity: Coming Out shortly after leaving the camp, Larry, 69, admitted that he perhaps wouldn't be friends with Martin if they met each other at a social event. "You know there will be people you like and people you don't really take to," he said. "Martin isn't the sort of person I'd be going out with socially, that's all there is to it. That concentrated time together puts heat on the pot and sometimes that bubbles to the surface. We had a couple of little conversations but that was put to rest."
