It's perhaps one of the most beloved Christmas songs, so it seems fitting that James Corden should get a little help from Mariah Carey as he sang All I Want for Christmas Is You on latest edition of Carpool Karaoke. The 46-year-old singer became the latest star in the passenger seat, where she belted out the words to her hit tune for the festive special, which also featured a medley from past celebrity guests.

With James behind the wheel, the singer looked typically glamourous in an embellished off-white number and a red leather jacket. "Thank you so much for helping me with my Christmas shopping, just to have a different prospective on what to get," the host excitedly said, later asking what she would like for Christmas this year. "I don't know," she replied. "I don't want to ask for something that is too expensive, something too much... I want you to sing me song All I Want For Christmas Is You."#

After the pair kicked off the famous song, the video went from Mariah and James to British singing sensation Adele then to Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas. Other stars included Elton John, Selena Gomez, Chris Martin, Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Carpool Karaoke has been a huge hit with viewers since the British television presenter took the reigns as host in March 2015. The popular chat show even won the prize for Best Talk Show at the 2017 Critics' Choice Awards on Sunday night. James, 38, later took to his Twitter page to share his thanks, writing: "So proud of this team! Of this show! Thank you critics who voted for us. It means a great deal to win Best talk show!" He later added: "Crazy list to be on. So proud of the team who work so hard on our show! X."
