Miranda Hart teamed up with her pet pooch Peggy to recreate your favourite shows of the year in a skit for Alan Carr's 12 Stars of Christmas.

In the hilarious sketch, which will air next week on Channel 4, the comedian took on the leading roles in a variety of shows including The Night Manager, Game of Thrones, Coronation Street and Sherlock while having the audience guess what scene from which popular show she is acting out. However, the skit doesn't go to plan as Miranda becomes increasingly frustrated with her co-star pet! The star took on the role of Jon Snow in the HBO fantasy show by drawing on abs and adding a fur cape and a 'snow effect' to the camera while Peggy 'played' the Red Woman dressed in an (adorable) red cape. Miranda then donned a moustache to recreate Sherlock's Christmas special from 2015 while joking about how confusing the episode's plotline was.

Miranda will star in the skit for Alan Carr's 12 Days of Christmas

Alan Carr's 12 stars of Christmas, which will run across five nights from Monday 19 December, sees guests including Mel C, Stephen Mangan and Richard Osman compete to win presents for the studio audience while the challenges are set by famous faces including Matt Lucas, Jennifer Ennis-Hill and Little Mix. Of course, this isn't the only exciting show to air over Christmas, and it looks like viewers will be spoiled for choice with the amazing Christmas line up of shows and soaps. Eastenders has already caused a stir with its Christmas trailer, which was released on Thursday. The trailer shows Phil Mitchell's health deteriorate as he battles liver failure. The beloved character looks ill while wearing a Santa hat and preparing to spend his "last Christmas" with his loved ones.
