From boy wizard to gentleman gangster: Rupert Grint has left the world of Harry Potter well and truly behind him with his latest role in a new TV spin-off of the Guy Ritchie movie Snatch. Rupert, 28, stars as gentleman crook Charlie Cavendish in the upcoming series, alongside a host of British talent, including Skins actor Luke Pasqualino and Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick.

Completing the key cast are Lucien Laviscount (Scream Queens), Dougray Scott (Fear the Walking Dead), Phoebe Dynevor (The Village) and Juliet Aubrey (The Infiltrator).

Rupert Grint has a starring role in the upcoming TV series, Snatch

Inspired by a real-life heist in London, the series tells the story of a group of 20-something, up-and-coming hustlers, who stumble across a truck of stolen bullion and find themselves launched into the high-stakes world of organised crime. They must quickly learn to navigate their way through London's treacherous underworld, while faced with rogue police, gypsy fighters, international mobsters and local villains.

The ten-episode series of Snatch is set to launch on 16 March on the Sony-owned streaming service Crackle.

It's not Rupert’s only new project. He also appears in the controversial Sky Arts programme Urban Myths, a satirical comedy series that tells various "true-ish" tales from the last century.

The series will consist of two seasons of four, thirty minute, comedy shows with each episode featuring a myth or urban legend about a historical figure. Rupert will star in the episode about Hitler, played by Iwan Rheon, as Hitler's friends Gustl.

A summary of the episode states: "A comedy drama observing as an 18 year-old Adolf Hitler pursues his passion for art, as he and his best friend August, a talented musician, live in Vienna hoping to study at the revered Arts Academy. The only problem is that young Adolf is rubbish at art and is rejected, incurring a wrath that would have far-reaching consequences."
