Oscar 2017 nominations are revealed...

The nominations for this year's Oscar awards have been announced and La La Land, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, has received a total of 14 nods, equalling the current record.

The Hollywood musical has been nominated for Best Picture and Best Director while both Ryan and Emma are in the running for Best Actor and Best Actress categories respectively.

Manchester by the Sea, coming of age drama Moonlight and sci-fi thriller Arrival are also competing for Best Picture.

Natalie Portman, who starred as Jackie Kennedy in Jackie, will go against Meryl Streep and Ruth Negga for Best Actress, while Casey Affleck, Denzel Washington and Andrew Garfield have all received nods for Best Actor.

Meryl has become the most nominated performer in Oscar history, following her role in Florence Foster Jenkins.
