Holly Willoughby couldn't hide her delight as she was reunited with the first This Morning baby this week. Back in December, Holly spent the morning on the maternity ward at St Thomas' Hospital for a special feature on the show, and was able to cradle baby Mei just a few moments after she was born via caesarean section. On Wednesday, she got to meet the adorable baby girl for a second time.

Welcoming Mei and her parents to the studio, Holly enthused, "It's so nice to finally meet you!" as she gazed at the little girl lying peacefully in her mother's arms. "It was so special for us to share that moment with you. She's so sweet!"

Co-host Phillip Schofield agreed, telling the proud mum and dad Zhe and Sam: "It was so sweet of you both to let us share that moment with you."

Mei's mother admitted she was looking forward to showing her little girl footage of her TV debut in a few years' time, saying: "It'll be a good moment to show her when she grows up."

Mum-of-three Holly was clearly in her element during her visit to the maternity ward last month. As she cradled tiny Mei, she told viewers: "She is not even an hours old… She was born at four minutes past 11…" Then, with new dad Sam's blessing, she got to have a cuddle with the tiny newborn. "She's just so special, so magical," she said.

During her time at the hospital, Holly told Phillip: "I am in baby heaven right now, it's a wonderful, wonderful place.

"You are never getting me back! And apparently there are five ladies in labour right now too. So we could have even more bundles of joy… I'm so happy! I might change jobs!"
