Twenty-six years after lending her voice to the title track of the 1991 animated film Beauty and the Beast, Celine Dion has returned with a brand new original song for Disney’s live-action remake. The new track titled How Does a Moment Last Forever, which was written by eight-time Oscar winning composer Alan Menken and lyricist Tim Rice, was released on Friday, March 10 along with the upcoming fim's soundtrack.

Celine sings a romantic ballad in the upcoming Disney film

"How does a moment last forever? / How can a story never die? / It is love we must hold onto / Never easy, but we try / Sometimes our happiness is captured / Somehow, our time and place stand still / Love lives on inside our hearts and always will," the Grammy winner sings in the new ballad. "Minutes turn to hours, days to years and gone / But when all else has been forgotten / Still our song lives on."

Celine, whose husband Rene Angelil died in 2016, previously admitted to Entertainment Tonight that she could not say “yes right away” to recording a song for the new film, which stars Emma Watson. "My first Beauty and the Beast, the decision was made with my husband. Now I'm making decisions on my own. It's a little bit harder," she explained. "I couldn't say yes right away, because I felt like I was kind of cheating in a way." "I was at the beginning of my career, it put me on the map," Celine noted. "It put me where I am today."

Disney's Beauty and the Beast opens in theaters on Friday, March 17.
