Brad Pitt stepped back into the spotlight on Wednesday night to attend the premiere of The Lost City of Z. The 53-year-old, who served as a producer on the film, joined the film's stars Charlie Hunnam and Robert Pattinson at the ArcLight Hollywood in Los Angeles to celebrate the release of the movie – his first red carpet appearance in four months. Brad has been keeping a low profile following his split from estranged wife Angelina Jolie in September. While he has attended some charity events, the star last appeared on the red carpet in November 2016 when he travelled to London for the Allied premiere. He was on hand to present the film Moonlight at the Golden Globes, but he did not pose for the cameras prior to the awards show.

Brad's appearance comes six weeks after Angelina opened up about their split for the very first time. The 41-year-old actress became visibly upset when she was asked about the "incident" which had led to their separation during an interview with BBC World News' Yalda Hakim in Cambodia, and confirmed it had been a "difficult" time for her family. "I don't want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time and…. And we are a family, and we will always be a family. And we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it," she said.

The Oscar winner also revealed that she was coping with her divorce by focusing on the couple's six children: Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, ten, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. "Many, many people find themselves in this situation," she said. "We've all been through a difficult time. My focus is my children, our children… and my focus is finding this way through. We are and forever a family. I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer."
