After three seasons, the award-winning ITV drama Broadchurch is finally over. Following the revelation that it was actually Michael, Clive Lucas's son, who attacked Trish after being coerced by Leo, viewers and celebrities alike have taken to social media to discuss the final episode of the show. Caroline Flack led the discussions, jokily tweeting: "Caroline Flack But surely we all knew that because he's the only one THAT HASNT BEEN A SUSPECT #broadchurch."

Trish's attacker was revealed

Phillip Schofield added: "#Broadchurch well I'm sad it's over, but I'm left satisfied that it's tied up." Others were quick to praise Olivia Coleman's character DS Miller, with Capital presenter Pete Allison writing: "If #Broadchurch ends with anything other than everlasting happiness for Miller, we riot," while My Family actor Robert Lindsay wrote: "#broadchurch is great TV but Olivia Coleman is probably the most honest actor and is a joy to watch her."

Leo coerced Michael into attacking Trish

The incredibly popular show's shocking twist was successfully kept under wraps during filming, though David Tennant, who plays DI Hardy, revealed that keeping it a secret was "exhausting". He told Radio Times: "We were all issued with different passwords for different things. So new bits of script would come through and you'd forget what your password was and have to phone somebody up and prove it was you. That drove me mad, if I'm honest. I'd phone up the office and go, 'I need it on paper, I can't cope!' So, yeah, there was a recognisable amount of security." Olivia added: "I do find that quite hard, people filming you on their phones. It's hard enough with one camera, let alone 40 iPhones! You have to concentrate and I found it amazingly nerve-racking."
