WARNING! SPOILERS FOR MONDAY'S EPISODE OF GAME OF THRONES

The promo for the sixth episode of Game of Thrones season seven is here, and focuses on the unlikely alliance of characters – Jon Snow, Gendry, Tormund, Ser Jorah, the Hound, Thoros of Myr and Beric Dondarrion – as they go north of the Wall to find and capture a wight from the army of the dead to prove to Cersei and the rest of the world that they exist. Much like every penultimate episode of each series so far, the episode looks set to be an action-packed thriller. The trailer also hints at discord between Sansa and Arya, as Littlefinger pitted them against each other in the previous episode.

Jon ventures to Eastwatch in the new trailer

In the clip, which is one minute long, Beric can be heard saying: "Death is the enemy. The first enemy, and the last. The enemy always wins and we still need to fight him," while the group are seen venturing out from Eastwatch to locate the White Walkers. The scene then changes to Arya and Sansa at Winterfell, with Arya menacingly asking her older sister: "You're scared, aren't you? What are you scared of?" The trailer ends with Jon running away from the army while the Night King watches him leave.

Fans were quick to discuss the trailer, with one writing: "Only if Jon Snow had a mobile to click a selfie with a White Walker. He could have Whatsapp'd it to Cersei and then we could see live streaming of this war between alive and dead on Facebook." Another added: "Even the preview of this episode is much better than the entire season of the Walking Dead."
