A new poster has also been released

The trailer shows Rey handing a lightsaber to Luke Skywalker after locating him at the end of The Force Awakens. It appears that the pair then train together, but Luke has reservations and can be heard saying: "I've seen this raw strength only once before. It didn't scare me enough then. It does now… This is not going to go the way you think." Meanwhile, Rey is attempting to come to terms with her own powers, and says: "Something inside me has always been there. But now it's awake and I need help… I need someone to show me my place in all this." The trailer ends with what appears to be Kylo holding his hand out to Rey, which seems to suggest that the hero might take him up on his offer to help teach her the ways of the Force.

Viewers were quick to discuss the trailer, with one writing: "I have watched this a good 15 times....I AMMM EMOTIONALLY AND MENTALLY PREPARED," while another added: "Shut up and take my money!" The official synopsis for the exciting film reads: "The Skywalker saga continues as the heroes of The Force Awakens join the galactic legends in an epic adventure that unlocks age-old mysteries of the Force and shocking revelations of the past."
