Chatting at the press launch of the show, will said: "I love Danny [O'Donoghue] and the Script is awesome, and Ricky [Martin] was - I love the showman that Ricky was, I miss him! I love Gavin [Rossdale]. Gavin was polite. I love Jessie J. Not polite! Awesome singer, fearless, and maybe people didn't like how fearless she was."

He continued: "And Kylie [Minogue] was polite, sweet, I love that dynamic that we had. I love Rita [Ora], she was a bit of both, she was like Kylie and Jessie mixed. And then we have Paloma [Faith], Paloma and Boy George, they were both - it was an acquired taste. Paloma in this mix would have been unique, but two uniques? And then me? That's a lot... to digest! That's sauce!"

The Black Eyed Peas band member also spoke about keeping in touch with his former contestants, admitting that they seem to be reluctant to get in touch since they're all "really polite". He said: "I've tried to keep in contact with the people who were on my team. They're really polite like, 'Oh I don't want to bug you, I know you're busy'. If I was them, I wouldn't be that polite! I sure wouldn't, I'd be like, 'Yo what's up, I know I called you two minutes ago'. I would not be as polite as they are."

He added: "I give them my number and my email and the thing I've noticed about all of them is that they're really polite… And that's why I feel comfortable giving my phone number! Call me! Guess what's going to happen? They're not going to call. Because they're too polite."
