Georgia Steel has opened up about her kiss with Jack, which caused huge drama in the Love Island villa. Following her and Sam Bird's shock departure from the show, the 20-year-old spoke to press, including HELLO!, about watching footage of the kiss, which appeared to show Georgia initiating the two pecks despite her repeatedly denying it later on the reality show. When asked how she felt watching it back, Georgia explained: "When we were on the date to be fair, I felt like the conversation did flow and it was very flirtatious. I have watched the clip back and was very shocked to be honest. That's not how I remember it at all."

Georgia later elaborated: "Now I have watched it, my opinion has slightly changed… I remembered it in a different way to what happened! That's not how I thought it went! After seeing the clip, I am a bit embarrassed for saying I didn’t kiss Jack when I went back to the villa. I am still glad I picked him to go on a date in the first place because I had to pick the people that made me laugh the most which was Jack and Sam. Sam was more nervous on the date because he really cared whereas I don’t think Jack was that nervous. I don’t have any regrets."
She added: "I always do what I want to do, that’s me. I’m very genuine and I’m very real. I say it how it is. It gets me into bother sometimes but that’s the way I am. Love Island is a TV show at the end of the day but it is real people, real life, real emotions and if anyone is going to be real on there, it’s going to be me."

At the time, Georgia accused Jack of lying about their moment on the date, and confronted him about it in the villa, saying: "Unintentionally, we kissed on the lips. Agreed. After that kiss, you went in for another little kiss and I backed away. If you didn't feel that or see that, I don't know why." Speaking about her reaction to the footage, she added: "At the end of the day things happen for a reason. I made a mistake, I'm only human… It's only a kiss at the end of the day… It does take two to tangle and it does take two people to kiss."
Viewers began to joke about Georgia repeatedly calling herself 'loyal' in the Villa, and she spoke about how she would define loyalty herself, explaining: "My definition of loyalty is when you're in a relationship with a guy and you're loyal to him, you're always honest and truthful about your feelings… If you want to crack on with someone else, if your head's being turned, to approach the situation in an adult manner." Georgia and Sam Bird left the villa together after they were unwilling to couple up with new people. The pair originally chose to remain on the show as single rather than leaving together earlier this week.
