The show must go on! Rami Malek, who played Freddie Mercury in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, must have felt on cloud nine after receiving a Best Actor Oscar for the role on Sunday night - but the star soon came back down to earth with a bump after falling off the stage of the Dolby Theatre shortly after his win!

Rami, 37, went through a range of emotions after his accidental fall from grace, and was initially in shock from the fall while being helped back up to his feet by several of the people around him. The actor had just finished a touching speech where he had thanked his mother first and foremost, saying: "Oh my God, my mum is in here somewhere, oh I love you lady. My family, thank you for all of this. My dad didn’t get to see me do any of this, but I think he’s looking down on me right now, so this is a monumental moment."
Watch out for the Oscar! Although Rami went falling from the stage, he certainly didn't let his shiny new statuette go with him! The star placed the Academy Award on the stage while people jumped up to help him following his slip, and soon picked it up again when he was back safely on his feet.
The award-winning A-lister looked a little sheepish and blushed after being helped from the stage, and it was likely he looked towards his girlfriend, Lucy Boynton, who co-starred with him in the film. He had previously given her a shout out in his speech, saying: "Lucy Boynton, you're the heart of this film. You are beyond immensely talented. You have capture my heart. Thank you so much."
While the Mr Robot star went through a range of emotions at his fall - from shock to embarrassment to amusement - luckily his suit remained intact the whole way through! The Freddie Mercury actor wore a handsome black suit from Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello to the prestigious evening.
Rami looked embarrassed by his slip-up as paramedics came in to check he was okay while he took a seat. However, Rami wasn't in need of any medical assistance following his tumble from the stage, and later appeared with his fellow Oscar winners without making any mention of the fall. He was also congratulated backstage by Gary Oldman, who won the Best Actor accolade in 2018.
However, the actor was soon back to his delighted, smiling self after his trip, and laughed off the embarrassing situation before returning to his seat. Of course, he isn't the only Oscar winner to have taken a tumble on stage - as Jennifer Lawrence famously tripped on the stairs while accepting her Oscar back in 2012. Jennifer Garner also slid on the stage floor while presenting an award - so you're not alone Rami!
