It's safe to say that Luke M hasn't had the smoothest-sailing time in the Love Island villa. After being dumped by Jess for Mike, the 24-year-old has been left single once again as his Casa Amor partner, Natalia Zoppa, decided that she didn't want to take things further. Sunday night's episode, which saw the dumping occur, made Luke M into somewhat of a social media star with many showing their support for him.

One person tweeted: "I'm convinced that there is something wrong with these girls… Letting Connagh go home and not wanting to be with Luke M when his literally the sweetest and most handsome guy there. Someone explain that to me?" While another simply wrote: "Luke M deserves better!" Fingers crossed Luke finds someone, soon! But until then, if you've ever wanted to know more about the Islander, we've done a round-up of everything you need to know.

Luke M's job

When he's not sunning himself in a villa in South Africa, Luke can be found in his hometown of Redcar, North Yorkshire. By trade, Luke is a heating engineer, but judging by his Instagram, the 24-year-old has also done some modelling. And it's not just modelling where his looks come in handy, Luke has often been mistaken for global popstar Justin Bieber, and it certainly has its perks. "I've walked into clubs and been given VIP table service and free drinks because the bouncer has thought I'm him!" Handy!

Luke M's past relationship

Before entering the villa, Luke explained that his mission for 2020 was to find a new girlfriend. "I'm used to being in a relationship," he said. "I was with my ex for four years. We broke up at the start of 2019. It's a bit weird being single." And it turns out this ex-girlfriend wasn't too impressed with Luke's involvement on the ITV2 show. Chloe Ephraim, a model and student, was in a relationship with Luke before he entered the villa and on learning he was joining the show, called him a "lying rat." Awkward.

The 24-year-old told the Sun shortly after Luke touched down in South Africa: "I was speaking to him four days before he appeared on the show." She continued: "He started pursuing me again just after Christmas and he must have known that he was going on the show then. He didn't say anything."

Luke M is very loyal to the bro code

Since he and Luke T joined the villa, viewers have been invested in their bromance as much as any of the romantic couples, and it seems Luke M takes his friendships very seriously. Speaking to ITV before entering the show, Luke said: "If you're mates with a lad, you don't go with their lass, or give her the eye." He continued: "If I make a good bond in the villa, the bro code will apply."

Luke M hasn't had the best luck with dates

As seen so far, Luke hasn't had the best of luck with the ladies in the Love Island villa. And if his ex's revelation wasn't enough, Luke's most disastrous dating experience has been revealed. "I got stood up once. I waited in the bar for about 20 minutes and she never turned up." Ouch.

Luke M's ideal woman

Luke has a very particular idea of the person he'd like to settle down with. As well his celebrity crush being Arianna Grande, Luke likes someone who "is outgoing, funny and can hold a conversation." Will he finally find his girl in the Love Island villa?
