Andrea's full post read: "So excited to be able to tell you I am part of the Clash of the Channels Sport Relief race for #SportRelief! I’ve tried some pretty crazy things in my life but rowing alongside Olympians is one I never thought I’d tick off the list. What an amazing bunch of people to do this with; I’m honoured to be part of it, and for such a great cause. Find out who wins on Friday 13th March and wish me luck!"

The doting mum's Loose Women family were quick to congratulate her on the exciting news. Saira Khan wrote: "You will be great," while Ruth Langsford added: "Yes girl!" Many of Andrea's fans also offered words of support, with one commenting: "Good luck I'm sure you will be awesome," and another sweetly replying: "Go Andrea! Best of luck."

The exciting news comes at the end of a difficult month for the television star. Earlier in February, the mother-of-two revealed that she had been battling a severe bout of depression, telling actress Mika Simmon on her podcast: "Depression and anxiety is a huge part of going through the menopause because of all the hormonal changes. It's something – suffer is such a horrible word because people are suffering much more worse things than I am – but I've just come through a really prolonged, difficult spell."

Andrea continued: "Not that you would ever know it because I showed up every day at work, and I smiled, and did my thing, but at home it was a very, very different story. I was in a very dark place. And for me, meditating made a huge difference. A massive difference, because it forces you to focus on the here and now."
