Not Going Out never gets old. The BBC comedy focuses on Lee (played by Lee Mack) and his long-term love Lucy (played by Sally Bretton) and has been making us laugh for ten series. The show was even commissioned for a new series this year, but due to the coronavirus restrictions, it's likely we won't see this anytime soon. For now, we'll have to settle for the reruns!

Abigail Cruttenden acting career
Abigail is a British actress who plays Anna, Tim's wife, in Not Going Out. The 52-year-old joined the show in 2014 when the sitcom aired its seventh series and she has had a regular part ever since.

Prior to Not Going Out, she had a number of roles in popular TV shows such as Benidorm, Jane Eyre, Agatha Christie's Poirot and Anna Karenina. She also had a role in the Oscar nominated film The Theory of Everything. She's also appeared on stafe in West End productions. However, she was perhaps best known for her role as Jane Sharpe in the Sharpe TV series opposite Sean Bean. Her brother Hal, is also well-known in the world of comedy and has appeared on stand-up shows such as Live at the Apollo and more.

While appearing on hit nineties TV shows, Sharpe, Abigail met Sean Bean – who played the lead – and the two went on to marry. After tying the knot in 1997, however, the marriage wasn't to last and the two separated soon after, with their divorce finalising in 2000. The actress has since found love again, and married her second husband Jonathan R. Fraser in 2003.

Abigail's private life is mostly out of the spotlight. But it's known that during her marriage to Lord of the Rings actor Sean Bean, Abigail welcomed her first child, a daughter, in 1998. After she married her second husband, Jonathan, Abigail became a mum for the second time.
