It's that time of year again… The Strictly Come Dancing line-up is officially complete and we couldn't be more excited to welcome the dancing show back this month.

Check out the 12 famous faces who will be sashaying, tangoing and cha-cha-cha-ing their way around the dance floor. See the complete line-up here...

Nicola Adams

Olympic boxer Nicola Adams was confirmed as the sixth contestant taking part in the 2020 show and will be paired in Strictly's first ever all-female pairing.

On joining the show, the professional boxer explained: "I'm really excited to be joining this year's incredible line-up for Strictly Come Dancing. I'm a huge fan of the show and am thrilled to be part of something that holds such a special place in so many people's hearts. People might know me from work in the ring, but I'll be every bit as passionate and dedicated on the dance-floor too.

Appearing on BBC Breakfast, the double gold medal winner explained how the same-sex partnership came about: "I asked the show about it, they wanted to know if I wanted to be on the show and I said 'Yeah I'll do it, but I want to dance with another female.'"

Rt Hon Jacqui Smith

Former Labour MP and Home Secretary Jacqui Smith will be taking the ballroom to join the other 11 celebrities making up the new series.

On joining the BBC show, Jacqui, who served as Home Secretary under Gordon Brown from 2007 to 2009, said: "I was speechless with excitement at being asked to join Strictly – and that’s very rare for me. Fifty years ago, I got a bronze medal for Scottish Highland Dancing and it feels about time to return to dancing."

She added: "I couldn't be in better hands with the Strictly team and I'm going to throw myself into the challenge. Watch out!"

Maisie Smith

Maisie will be leaving Albert Square behind her and instead heading for the dancefloor. The actress, who plays Tiffany Butcher-Baker in EastEnders, is clearly thrilled to be joining the team. She said: "Get me in those sequins, I can't wait to dive into the Strictly fancy dress box this winter! This is a dream come true." We think she's going to be fab!

HRVY

On Friday morning, Strictly announced none other than popstar HRVY as the latest celeb to be joining the star studded line-up for the BBC competition, and we can't wait to watch his Strictly journey!

On joining the show, the singer, who has over a billion combined streams to his name and a social following of over 10 million globally, said: "Being on Strictly is going to be such an amazing experience and I'm so thankful to be taking part this year.

"I think my mum is more excited that she'll be able to see me every Saturday night now."

Jamie Laing

Looks like Jamie Laing is back in business! After having to pull out at the beginning of last year's series due to injuring his foot, the Made In Chelsea is making a comeback and we're thrilled he's getting a second chance at the show.

On joining, Jamie said: "I'm back, I'm really excited. I'm over the moon that I actually get to come back and dance again... It's going to be unbelievably amazing."

Bill Bailey

Comedian and actor Bill Bailey will be taking to the ballroom for this year's show, and we think he's going to be brilliant! Speaking about taking part in the iconic show, Bill said: "In these are strange times we're living through, it feels right to do something different and take on a new challenge.

So I am delighted to be a part of this year's unique Strictly Come Dancing. My late mum Madrin would have loved it - I hope she'll be watching."

Ranvir Singh

Good Morning Britain and ITV News presenter Ranvir Singh is also taking to the ballroom for this year's competition. After the news was announced on GMB, ITV presenter responded to Piers Morgan's question, "Can you dance?", with: "I don't know, we'll find out. I've danced at weddings", adding: "I am very thrilled to be on it, I'm worried about the sleep deprivation."

Piers then couldn't help but tease his co-star as he quipped: "What about the curse, are you worried about the curse?" Ranvir coyly said: "No...", before adding: "I am single!"

JJ Chalmers

TV presenter JJ Chalmers, who is good pals with Prince Harry, revealed that he would be taking part in the new series on Lorraine, saying: "I can tell someone who isn't my mum and dad... I'm always looking for a challenge and to prove myself outside of my comfort zone... this is completely off the chart!

"And so, you know, it's going to be a huge challenge and I'm really looking forward to learning something brand new."

Clara Amfo

BBC Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo is joining the Strictly team! While appearing on Greg James' Breakfast Show on Wednesday morning, Clara said: "As we know this year has been a real challenge and escapism through dancing is something I know we all enjoy, so to be taught by a pro and live a fantasy is something that I can’t wait to fully embrace, see you on the dancefloor!"

Caroline Quentin

Caroline Quentin was the first contestant to be confirmed for this year's series. The actress, 60, is best known for her acclaimed TV roles, from playing Dorothy in Men Behaving Badly to Maddie Magellan in Jonathan Creek.

Speaking to Alex Jones on The One Show following the announcement, Caroline said: "I'm going to be there doing all those crazy dances quite soon."

Jason Bell

Broadcaster and American footballer Jason Bell was the second celebrity contestant to be announced, and the sporting star certainly sounded excited about strapping on his dancing shoes and hopping over the pond.

Having played for the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and New York Giants, the 42-year-old NFL superstar is certainly in a league of his own when it comes to the pitch, but how well will he fare on the dancefloor?

Speaking about Strictly, the doting dad said: "Strictly was the first show I ever watched when I moved to the UK and I’m a massive fan. 

"My six year-old daughter never got the chance to see me run out on the field at an NFL game but she is very excited about me taking to the dance floor. I hope I can do her proud."

Max George

It's official: heartthrob Max George is the third person to be joining the race for the glitterball this year! Max shot to fame as a member of The Wanted.  

The band had two number one singles in the UK and reached the top three in the US Billboard charts. The 31-year-old looked over the moon as he burst through the doors of The One Show's elevators, and even host Alex Jones could be seen smiling from ear to ear as she quizzed the popstar on his exciting new venture.

Max’s former bandmate Jay McGuiness went on to win the BBC dancing contest back in 2015 with professional partner Aliona Vilani.

When asked how he thinks he'll compare to Jay, Max hilariously replied: "No chance. There's no comparison. But he might be able to mentor me through Zoom."
