David Jason's wife
Gill David has been married to his wife, Gill Hinchcliffe, since 2005 and together they have one daughter, Sophie. The actor opened up about their wedding day to the Guardian in 2013, and it turns out the day was special for another reason.

"Gill and I were married at the Dorchester Hotel in 2005 on the eve of my knighthood. We'd often spoken about it, but could never come up with a plan that wouldn't create a fuss.
"It was the happiest time. Next morning, I arose a married man and went straight off to become a bachelor. Or, at any rate, a knight bachelor. Amazing. A married man, a Sir, and all inside 24 blissful hours."

How did David Jason and Gill meet?
David and Gill met through work when David was acting in popular ITV drama A Touch of Frost and Gill was working as a production assistant. "I first set eyes on Gill, a floor assistant at [a TV studio] in Leeds, when she was sent to meet me in the studio car park," he told the Guardian.
"She was 20 years younger, we were living in different parts of the country, and I was still numb with grief. Yet work kept bringing us together and fondness turned to love. Our daughter, Sophie Mae, was born in March 2001. When she was handed to me, the room seemed suddenly very still."

David with his late partner Myfanwy

Before his marriage to Gill, David was in a relationship with partner Myfanwy Talog for over eighteen years before her passing. The couple began a relationship in 1977 and remained together while he nursed her through her battle with breast cancer.
Sadly, Myfanwy succumbed to the illness and passed away in 1995. The loss of his partner inspired David to set up his own charity in her honour, The David Jason Trust for terminally ill children.
