Viewers love seeing the ever-cheery Carol Kirkwood presenting the weather on BBC Breakfast, and on Wednesday the public were in for a real treat as Carol hosted a segment live from beautiful Bushy Park in London.
The TV star, 58, and her cameraman Kevin managed to capture some incredible scenes of the local wildlife. As Carol spoke about the deer rutting season, right on cue a dominant stag strutted into the camera frame with his harem of does.

"Look at this, this is the dominant stag with his harem, he's got all his ladies with him," said an astounded Carol. "They go around the park grazing and he's been busily trying to round them up and keep them all together. It's quite a sight to see."

She warned: "We are a good distance from them. Kevin our cameraman has zoomed in so you get a better view. Now it's rutting season here, it runs from October to early November, and the dominant stag, the one in the front there, is the one that really takes charge."

Carol went on to explain how the stags will compete with each other to be the leader of the pack, adding: "They walk parallel to each other, the competitor and the incumbent stag. They size each other up and if they still think, 'I'm a match for you,' they will lock horns and whichever one wins, will then take over the harem. Then the competitor has a whole new harem all to himself."

Kev @ksadders zoomed in on them and got some amazing shots. Such beautiful animals @BBCBreakfast @theroyalparks xxx."
BBC Breakfast main presenter Dan Walker also shared a clip of the weather segment, likening Carol to Sir David Attenborough as he tweeted: "Amazing stuff from Carol 'Attenborough' Kirkwood live on #BBCBreakfast this morning. @carolkirkwood is in Bushy Park."
