Chatting on Lorraine, hosted by Christine Lampard, alongside his brother Curtis, AJ finally confirmed that he wouldn't be heading to Gwrych Castle in Abergele for the somewhat unusual edition of the beloved show. He explained: "These rumours, no, we’ve got a podcast every single week. We’ve got to keep that up. I’m definitely keeping myself busy this year."

He added that he had "wanted to do a podcast for forever". AJ has previously spoken about I'm a Celebrity to Steph McGovern on Channel 4's The Steph Show back in April. At the time, he said: "Well, let me put it like this, I’ve just cleaned out the loft as my mum has a list of jobs for us to do.

"The amount of spiders up there, I was screaming my head off. So, if anything like that did happen, it would be hilarious – that’s for sure!" Curtis added: "I would love to see AJ in a coffin, well not like that, I meant surrounded by animals, in a confined space doing a trial!"

AJ left Strictly Come Dancing ahead of the 2020 series

AJ announced his shock departure from Strictly back in March to pursue other projects, telling The Sun: "I want to have my own brand and there were things I couldn’t do because of the Strictly brand and the time involved. It took up six months of my life, some days I would work 18-hour days because I was dancing and choreographing."
