The star also opened up about her decision to return to the show, and it sounds like she gave it a lot of thought after leaving at the beginning of 2019. She explained: "First of all, when they called me to ask me back on the show, I wasn't expecting it at all. Took me a few days, maybe a few weeks to think about it and give them my decision.

Will Josephine be back for seasons 11 and 12?

"They asked me only for series ten. They were like, 'No rush, no pressure'. One series at a time."

Speaking about the exciting news, Executive Producer Tim Key said: "We are hugely proud of series ten and delighted we’ll be heading back to Saint Marie to continue the story. Our amazing cast and crew have delivered against the odds this year and we can’t wait to get going again – we’ve got huge plans for the future, with lots of surprises to come."

Belinda Campbell, Joint Managing Director of Red Planet Pictures, added: "It’s testament to the talent of the cast and production team and the loyalty of our amazing audience that after the series we remain one of the UK’s favourite TV dramas."
