Rupert then opened up about life as a dad at home in lockdown, telling the website: "Because we filmed this season in kind of two halves really, because of the pandemic - I had the baby during the kind of down period when we were in lockdown and came back with the baby for the second part. It's very strange."
The proud father-of-one thrilled fans when he and his girlfriend of nine years confirmed they had welcomed their child in a statement that read: "Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl. Rupert Grint shared this adorable photo of Wednesday
The couple are very protective of their personal life. Back in April, the couple sparked pregnancy reports when Georgia, who is perhaps best known for her role in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, was pictured with a baby bump during a London outing with Rupert. The couple then confirmed the happy news in a statement and just weeks later welcomed their daughter.
Since then, Rupert has given a glimpse into their family with an adorable photo showing him cradling Wednesday in his arms, as he made his debut on Instagram.
The 32-year-old wrote in the caption: "Hey Instagram... only 10 years late, but here I am. Grint on the Gram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint. Stay safe, Rupert."
