Blue Bloods: meet the cast of the hit US police drama

Season 11 of police procedural Blue Bloods started with a bang with the discovery of a new member of the Reagan family. The drama, which has been on screens for over ten years, follows a family of New York law enforcement officers and chronicles their dramas both on and off the job.

Tom Selleck as Frank Reagan

Legendary Hollywood actor Tom Selleck takes on the role of Frank, commissioner for the NYPD. Fans of Blue Blood will no doubt recognise Tom for his iconic role in '80s television series Magnum, P.I., as well as his cameo on Friends as Monica's much older boyfriend, Richard.

In a recent fan Q&A, Tom revealed his favourite episode of the series so far. "Special for me was being able to shoot at the 9/11 memorial," the actor said. "We were the first film company to ever do that. It was a very important show, very emotional for Frank. I'm very proud of that, but I'm proud of all that we do."

Will Estes as Jamie Reagan

Will Eastes plays Jamie, the 'Golden boy' of the Regan family who is following in father Frank's footsteps as an NYPD Sergeant. Before joining the cast of Blue Bloods, Will had supporting roles in many drama series including Line of Duty, American Dream and even appeared in The Dark Knight Rises.

Donnie Wahlberg as Danny Reagan

Danny Reagan is the oldest Reagan sibling and is portrayed by actor Donnie Wahlberg, brother of Mark Wahlberg. His wife Linda died in season eight of the show, leaving Danny to care for their two young sons.

Bridget Moynahan as Erin Reagan

Erin Reagan, sister to Jamie and Danny, works as the Bureau Chief in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. The actress behind the role, Bridget Moynahan is best known for roles in blockbuster films I, Robot and John Wick.

Will Hochman as Joe Hill

Will Hochman recently joined the cast of Blue Bloods as Joe Hill, Frank's estranged grandson. Joe's father was Joe Reagan, Frank's eldest son, who sadly died at the very beginning of the show. The young actor has had supporting roles in Critical Thinking and Let Him Go.

Vanessa Ray as Eddie Reagan

Eddie Reagan married Jamie in the season nine finale, and became part of the Reagan family. Like her husband, she is also an NYPD Sergeant - choosing to go by her maiden name Janko at work and Mrs Reagan at home. Before joining the cast in season four, Vanessa held roles in Pretty Little Liars, Suits, and As the World Turns.

Len Cariou as Henry Reagan

Len Cariou plays Reagan family patriarch Henry, a retired police commissioner. At 81 years old, Len has had an extensive career in Hollywood and is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Sweeney Todd in the original cast of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, for which he won a Tony Award.

Sami Gayle as Nicky Reagan-Boyle

Sami Gayle plays Nicky, the only child of Erin and her ex-husband Jack Boyle. Sami began her acting career in theatre and even starred alongside Patti LuPone in the off-Broadway production of Gypsy before landing her breakout television role in teen fantasy series Vampire Academy.
