The news that Sex and the City is returning for a new series created a bit of a stir this week.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristen Davis will reprise their roles in the hit HBO show for a brand new series titled And Just Like That… And while, sadly, Kim Cattrall won't be back to play the outrageously fun Samantha, we think it's still set to be fabulous.

In light of the exciting new episodes, we couldn't help but wonder (sorry) what the cast look like now. Take a look through our gallery to see how the stars of the show have changed since the show finished over 15 years ago…

Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker played the iconic Carrie Bradshaw throughout the show's run and the two movies. While Carrie was fresh-faced during the first series in 1998, Sarah Jessica looks just as glamorous and stylish today.

Cynthia Nixon

Playing the passionately intelligent and kick-ass lawyer Miranda Hobbes is Cynthia Nixon. Nowadays, Cynthia has turned her hand to campaigning and politics and in 2018, ran to be Governor of New York. Miranda would be proud!

Kristen Davis

Anyone else think Kristen Davis looks exactly the same?! The star played prudent but quietly confident Charlotte York in the show and continues to act to this day.

Kim Cattrall

Kim Cattrall won't be joining the new series of the show, but the actress continues to serve fabulously glam looks in her new show Filthy Rich on Fox, which she also produced. Kim also appeared on psychological thriller series Tell Me a Story on CBS.

Chris Noth

Sarah Jessica Parker recently teased Mr Big's return to the new reboot, stating: "You'll have to wait and see…" to a fan on social media.

Since the show finished, Chris Noth has become well-known for his other roles in popular shows such as The Good Wife and Law & Order. More recently, he's appeared in Doctor Who, Catastrophe and has a new film out this year.

John Corbett

John Corbett's character Aiden is often thought of as the one that got away. Whether you're Team Aiden or Team Big, John had a huge part in the show's story.

Nowadays, the star is known for his roles in films and shows such as To All The Boys I Loved Before, Gully and Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll on FX.

Willie Garson

Stanford was the voice of reason to Carrie plenty of times throughout the show. Willie Garson went on to have a part in the movies of the same name and has gone on to land roles in plenty of TV shows like Scandal, Hawaii Five-0 and Supergirl.

David Eigenberg

Steve Brady was an on-off interest of Miranda's throughout the show, before the pair eventually reunited and tied the knot. David went on to appear in the films and in other TV shows such as NBC's Chicago Fire and Law & Order.

Evan Handler

Evan Handler plays Charlotte's husband and father of her children, Harry, in the series and films. He's still on TV screens to this day, as Jacob Warner in Power.

James Remar

James Remar played Samantha's first boyfriend Richard. His character was notable for being the only one to turn Samantha's head regarding a serious relationship.

Alas, the coupling wasn't meant to be and Samantha moved on. Now, James is known for his roles in Gotham and Black Lightening.

Jason Lewis

Playing Samantha's second love-interest, Jerry "Smith" Jerrod, was Jason Lewis and the actor and model certainly looks a little different from his Sex and the City days. Nowadays, Jason is known for appearing in TV series Midnight, Texas.
