Taking to social media, plenty of viewers have been expressing their certainty that the celebrity behind the mask is Grammy Award-winning singer Ne-Yo!
Pointing out some of the clues, one person tweeted: "Ne-Yo has done a tribute to Barbra Streisand! And wears hats!" After Badger sang a rendition of Kelly Clarkson's Because of You, a second person added: "100 per-cent Ne-Yo, he has a song called Because of You as well!"

A third tweeted: "Please, please NEYO IS BADGER THAT VOICE IS TO UNDENIABLE #TheMaskedSingerUK", while a fourth hilariously wrote: "Can't believe Ne-Yo just had to stand backstage in a badger costume listening to Aston Merrygold dressed as a Robin singing [Ne-Yo's song] Closer. That is golden Saturday telly. #TheMaskedSingerUK."
Ne-Yo is an American singer-songwriter who shot to fame in 2006 with his platinum debut album In My Own Words, featuring hit songs such as So Sick and Sexy Love.

Fans are convinced that American singer Ne-Yo is Badger
Since then, the singer has gone on to achieve huge success. His second album, 2007's Because of You, was another platinum-selling record for him, and was awarded the Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B Album.
He's also a respected songwriter – having been the penman behind huge R&B hits such as Mario's Let Me Love You, Beyonce's Irreplaceable and a number of songs for Rihanna.

Could the Grammy-winning singer be Badger? We'll have to wait and see!
Audiences will have to wait and see if their theories on Badger are correct. Meanwhile, along with Badger, the masks performing in this weekend's semi-final include Harlequin, Robin, Dragon and Sausage.
So far, the ITV show has seen many other famous faces unveiled including Sir Lenny Henry, A-Ha frontman Morten Harket, Mel B, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, John Thomson and Martine McCutcheon.
