Zooey Deschanel made a cameo on the show as her New Girl character, Jessica Day, in a special crossover episode back in 2016.

Sterling K. Brown

This is Us actor Sterling K. Brown appeared in an unforgettable episode of the hit series, which sees him interrogated throughout the night by officers of the 99. His performance in the episode even earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.

Lin-Manuel Miranda

Superfan Lin-Manuel Miranda, who campaigned for the show to be saved following its cancellation by FOX in 2018, appeared on the sixth season as Amy’s overachieving brother, David.

Nick Offerman, best known for his role of Ron Swanson in Parks and Recreation, once appeared on the show as Captain Holt’s ex-boyfriend.

In what can only be described as perfect casting, cult movie staple Danny Trejo played Rosa’s dad Oscar in an episode. The star, who was recently unmasked as The Racoon on season five of The Masked Singer, appeared in the season five episode where Rosa comes out as bisexual.

Oscar-winning actor J.K. Simmons plays one of Holt’s old NYPD buddies in season seven of the show and is often referred to as one of the best cops he knows, much to the annoyance on Jkake.
