But Ben isn't the most important man in Kate's life as she's been married to her husband, Ludo Graham, for over three decades. Get to know Kate's husband here…

Kate's famous husband

Ludo is a successful TV producer and director and the star married Kate in 1992. The pair reportedly met in 1985 when Kate was getting her first experience in the television world as a junior runner.

Similar to his wife, Ludo has enjoyed success throughout his career and has acted as executive producer on a number of shows such as BBC's Rivers with Griff Rhys Jones, Museum of Life and Paddington Green.

The couple have been open about their decision not to have children

Kate has previously opened up about her decision to not have children and how her husband, Ludo, felt the same. The BBC presenter told The Mirror in 2016: "I just knew having children wasn't for me. Luckily I married someone who agreed."

In 2007, the pair moved to Monmouthshire, Wales, and the star credited her husband for the move following him getting a job offer in the region. Speaking to the Sunday Post, she shared: "Every time we drove west over the Severn Bridge and the border, my heart lifted and I just thought: 'This is it'. I’d felt un-at-home in London for a very long time. I was never very good at living in a city. It was great fun, initially it’s exciting and there's everything there, apart from the things that make me feel at home."

It hasn't always been plain sailing, and Kate once told Platinum Magazine: "It was really hard. We were doing our day jobs while getting it up and running, with no knowledge or experience. We constantly asked ourselves, 'Are we making a terrible mistake?' But now we are living the dream."

Comments on marriage

Given the couple both work in the television industry, it's perhaps unsurprising that the two decided to work together on Escape to the Farm. Kate opened up to HELLO! about what it was like working with her hubby, who helped film their show in 2020.

"I was quite nervous – I think he was too – but without sounding like an overly adoring wife, he is very good at what he does and has been doing it for a very long time," she shared.

The star previously said of her husband: "Having a partner gives you a level of security in your life that makes a huge difference. It makes you less self-obsessed because you don't have time – you have to make them breakfast!"
