Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest have been forced to step back from the LIVE! studio and host from the comfort of their homes - and fans want to know why!
After months of entertaining their celebrity guests from the New York studio and slowly getting back to normal following tough COVID-19 restrictions, Kelly and Ryan are on virtual duty again.

They kicked off their new year hosting on a split-screen from their bedrooms and Ryan asked: "Are you sure it's January 3rd, 2022, because it feels like January 3rd 2021 because we're back home out of an abundance of caution."

He was referring to the fact that due to the raging coronavirus pandemic, especially with the rise of cases in New York, they'd reverted to working from home like they did earlier this year.

Fans who missed their explanation flooded social media with questions about their whereabouts and "Why are Kelly and Ryan working from home?" became a very popular internet search.
Kelly and Ryan are back hosting from home
Their Instagram posts received a plethora of comments from viewers saddened that they had been forced to watch them virtually again.

But many thanked them for making everybody's health a priority. "Thanks for staying safely on the air," wrote one, while another added: "Smart move."
The TV hosting couple have stepped away from the studios to be cautious
Both Kelly and Ryan have been applauded for their decision to take their hosting gigs home, and on the plus side it gives fans a sneak peek inside their luxury abodes.
Kelly has a $27million townhouse located in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York, which is envy-inducing, to say the least and Ryan lives just down the road in a fabulous townhouse of his own.
