Gogglebox's favourite Essex family, the Baggs, have decided to quit the show after three seasons - and it's safe to say fans are pretty devastated.

Announcing the news via Joe and George's Instagram accounts, the family revealed that while they've "loved" taking part in the show, they couldn't commit to another season due to "exciting opportunities" on the horizon.

The statement read: "Hey everyone! Wanted to give you a quick update on the Baggs family.
"After three incredible seasons on Channel 4’s Gogglebox, we have taken the decision to leave the show. We have loved every second of being part of the Gogglebox family and it’s truly been the opportunity of a lifetime.

"With lots of exciting opportunities approaching for us all, we just couldn’t commit to filming another series but are so grateful for the opportunity.
The Baggs family have left the show
"Thank you for all of your support whilst we have been on the show and over on TikTok. We hope that you’re as excited as we are for what’s coming next!"
Fans were quick to share their sadness in the comments section, with one person writing: "No am gutted, wish you all the best in the future for you all love you all so much," while another added: "Gonna miss you all. Favourite family on Gogglebox."
A third person commented: "Nooo!!! Gonna miss you guys. I’ll keep following on tik tok."
The family announced the news on Instagram
Another viewer hoped to see the family get their own show, writing: "Nooooooo!!!! One of my faves from the show. But to be honest you’re more entertaining over on tiktok. I hope you guys leaving means there’s a possibility of your own show coming."
The Baggs family join other former sofa stars who have left the show, such as Steph and Dom, the Tappers and the Moffatts.
The Michael family also left the show last year along with Linda McGarry and Marina Wingrove after the sad passing of their respective friends and family - Pete McGarry, Mary Cook and Andy Michael.
