"Taking the risks to do things your way can be scary," she says in the voiceover before adding: "You gotta be brave."  The trailer then features moments from across her decades-long career and also appears to touch upon her ex husband's affair with her best friend, and how it changed her life forever.

Her new song plays over the top and includes lyrics such as "turn the light on" and "hold me".

The documentary and new song come as a new album is also expected later in 2022. Directed by Joss Crowley and produced by Mercury Studios, the documentary chronicles Shania's childhood in Ontario and her subsequent rise to fame.

The documentary will also feature guest appearances from Lionel Richie and Kelsea Ballerini as they reveal how the country star broke boundaries and crossed genres.

At one point Shania speaks honestly about fearing it was "all over"

Shania recently returned to her Las Vegas residency after she canceled several shows after having lost her voice, due to which her doctor advised her to refrain from any singing.

Upon realizing that she wouldn't be able to perform, Shania explained: "To my dear fans, I am sad to say that I woke up this morning feeling unwell and with no voice."  After detailing her symptoms, she told fans what her doctor recommended, and wrote: "I am under strict doctor's orders to rest and not sing."

But she was soon back on stage and for the highly-anticipated performance, she donned a baby blue fur jacket, paired with multicolor printed pants, bedazzled sneakers, and of course, a rhinestone cowboy hat.

She captioned the post: "Friday night - Vegas style!! Thank you for all your energy. Bring on tonight!"
