The final of Love Island 2022 has revealed its winning couple!

Congratulations are in order to Ekin-Su and Davide, who have been named the champions for series eight. The pair, who will be taking home the £50,000 prize between them, made it to the grand finale alongside three other couples.

Indiyah and Dami, Tasha and Andrew, Luca and Gemma and Ekin-Su and Davide all made it to the final stage of the competition – but only one couple could reign champion.
Before the winners were revealed, the couple were in the final two against Gemma and Luca who were crowned runners-up. Meanwhile, third place went to Indiyah and Dami, with Tasha and Andrew coming in fourth place.
Once Ekin-Su and Davide had been crowned winners, they couldn't hide their excitement. Davide told Laura he couldn't believe it while Ekin-Su was speechless and in tears.

After the pair were announced as the winners, Laura then handed over the all-important cash prize to both Islanders. But in a change to its usual format, the winners were told they would be sharing the money between them this year, rather than deciding whether to split or share the funds.
The final episode of the series was filmed live from the Love Island villa in Majorca where host Laura Whitmore presented as usual. A live crowd of Love Island fans were also there in the villa garden to see the winning couple announced.
Before the lucky couple was declared, the live audiences and viewers were shown pre-recorded footage from the Islander's final hours in the villa.

The contestants took part in some salsa dancing lessons held by two professionals who were welcomed into the villa. The couples brushed up on their moves ahead of the official Love Islander summer ball.
After the dance tutorial, the girls and boys got glammed up and dressed to the nines as they prepared to celebrate one final hurrah. During the romantic event, the couples expressed their love for each other after being tasked with writing a poem, song or declaration of their devotion.
