Jay Blades and his team welcomed guest Nigel into the barn, who lost his sight suddenly at the age of 19 when he developed a condition called optic neuritis, a swelling of the optic nerve, which caused him to lose his sight overnight.

Nigel and his wife Karen brought his beloved side table into the barn, which formed the shape of a bulldog dressed as a barman named "Boozy Barman".
Telling Will Kirk and ceramics expert Kirsten Ramsay that the side table "brings a lot of pleasure and light" into his life, Nigel explained that 'Boozy' lost an ear and suffered a crack down his arm after he knocked him over during their house move.
Kirsten quickly got to work and managed to transform Boozy back to his former glory, prompting an emotional reaction from Nigel. Feeling the ears of his beloved bulldog, he told the experts: "I've got tears in my eyes. I'm glad I've got dark glasses on, you can't see!"
