Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Katya Jones has spoken out on social media after she seemingly divided fans with her Celebrity MasterChef appearance this week.

The TV star, who is gearing up to return to the beloved Ballroom and Latin competition next month, cooked the judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace her unusual pasta pie dish and she was keen to get her followers' verdict.

Posting on her Instagram Stories, Katya told the camera: "Hello everyone, well I'm just back from filming the group dances but for those of you who tuned in for the Masterchef, I've received a lot of messages about my pasta pie, and a lot of positive messages!"
She added: "So, come on, vote! Would you eat my cream mushroom pasta pie? It looked amazing I'm sure a lot of you liked it more than John and Gregg did."

Katya served up the dish during Tuesday's episode of Celebrity Masterchef and audiences were quick to make comments on social media.
While some were loving the dancer's inventive idea, others weren't convinced. "Ok but Katya definitely deserved to go after that disaster… #celebritymasterchef," wrote a viewer on Twitter. Another said: "Katya should be disqualified for that!! #CelebrityMasterChef."
However, others were full of praise. One person commented: "Oh I used to LOVE mushroom vol-au-vents! And Katya's mushroom pasta vol-au-vents looked amazing & much more upmarket than I ever had. #CelebrityMasterchef."

Appearing alongside Katya in the MasterChef kitchen for the fourth and final week of the heats was actor Adam Pearson, drag star Kitty Scott-Claus, presenter Lisa Snowdon and actor Ryan Thomas.
