One story which came to light after the series premiere in a preview of what's to come was a lawsuit the family had recently faced over the past few months. So who sued the Kardashians? Before next week's episode airs, find out more about what happened below…

Who sued the Kardashian family?

As fans who follow the Kardashians closely may already know, the family was sued for defamation by Robert Kardashian Junior's ex-partner Blac Chyna for $100 million.

Blac Chyna sued the Kardashian family for defamation

Robert, the only brother in the family, and Chyna got together in 2016 and announced they were engaged and expecting after just a few months. The relationship wasn't to last, however, and the couple parted ways in 2017, shortly after the arrival of their daughter, Dream.

During their short time together, the couple began filming their own Keeping Up-inspired show on E! called Rob & Chyna. But only one season aired and the pair's split came soon after.

Why did Blac Chyna sue the Kardashian family?

Chyna is suing the Kardashian family for "defamation, intentional interference with contract, and intentional interference", according to Us Weekly.

The claim came about after season two of their reality show was put on hold following their split. Chyna then claimed that the Kardashian family sabotaged the show's return, which didn't end up happening. The family denied the allegations made against them and they went to court to fight their case.

The Kardashian family won their case

Who won the Kardashian family case?

In May, it was decided by a jury in a court of law that the Kardashians had won their case and had not defamed Chyna, meaning they did not owe her any damages.
