Just a few hours later, Ellie and her Strictly pro partner, Nikita Kuzmin, were back in the studio preparing their new dance for Movie Week, and while their song of choice is not known yet, Ellie nearly let slip a big hint.
Ellie has been left 'overwhelmed' by all the positive messages from fans
Taking to Instagram, Nikita updated team Elita fans on their progress. "So, Simmonds, instead of watching your own Stories on repeat, why don't you tell people how actually was your day today," Nikita cheekily tells her in the clip.
"Yeah, it was good, really, really love this dance that we are doing. Movie Week!" Ellie said, as Nikita added: "Which is really exciting, I love Movie Week."
"So excited, I cannot wait for you guys to see what movie we are doing as well. It is going to be so, so…," Ellie excitedly added, doubting between saying "fun" or "good".
The couple scored 30 points last Saturday for their Waltz
"Good. It's going to be good," she said in the end, to which Nikita quickly added: "I know what you wanted to say, I know what you wanted to say…"
Last week, the couple performed a Waltz to Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley and received a total of 30 points from the judges.
Following the show on Saturday, the Paralympian took to Twitter and thanked everyone for the message and for voting for her and Nikita, before revealing she doesn't want her Strictly journey to "end".
"Thank you so much to everyone who's messaged and voted. I'm literally having the best time ever. I never want it to end," she wrote.
