Rose Ayling-Ellis is sharing her Strictly Come Dancing love with former colleague James Bye, who is competing in this year's series with Amy Dowden.

The reigning champion, who starred in EastEnders alongside James, has been offering her best tips in order to help the actor make it through to another week.

Appearing on Thursday's Lorraine, the 38-year-old revealed: "Rose's advice to me from the beginning is enjoy every second as it goes so quickly, even for her doing the whole thing and winning it.

"Don't waste any moment, just enjoy everything. Even when it's tough and you're having bad days."
Rose and Giovanni became hugely popular after they were crowned winners of the 2021 series. They captured the nation's hearts when they performed a moving Couple's Choice to Zara Larsson's song Symphony, which left the audience and viewers at home in tears.

The duo paid respect and raised awareness for the deaf community when the music cut and they continued to dance in silence.
Elsewhere, fellow EastEnders star Kellie Bright, who was a runner-up in 2015, also told James that the "nerves never go away".
The actor, who is famous for playing Martin Fowler in the BBC soap, will be performing the Foxtrot to the EastEnders theme as Saturday's episode will mark 100 years of the BBC.

"I can't tell you how honoured I am to be representing EastEnders in such an iconic year," he said. "Doing something that’s never been done on Strictly before. When (Amy) got told it was EastEnders, we both looked at each other and went, 'How are we going to dance to it?'
"It's not quite the normal EastEnders theme tune everyone is going to expect. (There will be) some surprises along the way. A really big night, not just for us but (my other competitors)."
