Matt Hancock reached the final of I'm a Celebrity on Saturday night, and a day later over 12 million viewers voted him as the third runner-up, much to his delight.

The MP was reunited with his girlfriend Gina Colangelo after sitting down with hosts Ant and Dec and seeing the best bits of his experience in the jungle.

Hours later, the father-of-three returned to his Instagram and shared a video with his 110,000 followers.

"I've just come out of the jungle. I want to say a massive thank you to everyone that voted for me. Here's the aftermath of coming out third," he began saying in the clip.

"I'm honoured, I'm incredibly grateful for every vote and I am thrilled that Jill has won. She is so wonderful, and I am so glad the nation has been able to see it. But the number one thing is a massive thank you to everyone that voted for me."
Captioning the video, the politician wrote: "Massive thank you to everyone who voted for me. #ImACeleb #TeamMatt."

Matt was inundated with a mix of messages from fans, but many praised him for opening up about his dyslexia.
"Well done Matt! You were my favourite! It's nice to see the person behind the politician. Thank you also for petitioning to change the law regarding dyslexia, I was at law school when I found out I was dyslexic and so I can relate to your experience of dyslexia," wrote one.

A second remarked: "I never thought in a million years I would ever say that I was hoping for Matt Hancock to be crowned king of the jungle! Fair play you smashed it and seem like a genuinely nice guy."
Following his exit from the show, Matt rushed to greet his girlfriend of two years, Gina, and sweetly told her "I love you so much," as they hugged in front of the cameras.

Later, the duo could be seen in behind-the-scenes footage shared by his fellow contestants on Instagram, mingling with the rest of the cast.
Matt even posed for a picture with Charlene White, who has been open about her struggles to warm up to the former Health Minister following his actions during the pandemic.
"Our no.3!!" she simply wrote alongside the photo, which saw her wrap her arm around Matt.
