After announcing the record in early 2022, the album came in May off the back of its lead single release As It Was, which broke Spotify's streaming records after racking up over 16 million listens in its first day. Other big hits from his album include Music For a Sushi Restaurant and Late Night Talking. The former One Direction star will also be hoping to bag himself the Grammy award for Album of the Year after Harry's House received a nomination for the 2023 awards.

The 2022 Ivor Novello Awards returned in full swing for the first time since before the pandemic and HELLO! had the chance to catch up with one of the big winners of the night. Sam Fender, who picked up his first ever Ivor Novello for his huge song, Seventeen Going Under, spoke to HELLO! backstage after picking up his award and revealed how he was feeling after his win and his plans to crack America.
Later in the year, Taylor Swift made a triumphant return to music with her brand new album, Midnights. The singer shared the 13-track record with her fans in late October and was met with a huge response. The record, which was produced by Jack Antonoff, has already broke many records and was officially named the most-streamed album in a single day of all time with over 186 million streams worldwide, beating Drake's Certified Lover Boy in the process.
In November the Grammy's released their nominations for the upcoming 2023 Awards and Beyonce officially made history. The Crazy In Love singer picked up nine nominations for next year's awards including for AOTY and Record of the Year for her album Renaissance and her summer single Break My Soul. Beyonce's nods in multiple categories mean that she has now become the most nominated female artist in Grammy history and is tied with her husband Jay Z as the most nominated artist ever, with both stars now having a whopping 88 nominations in total.
It's the end of a music era – Elton John announced his final ever gig, and it's a big one. The legendary musician will be headlining the Glastonbury festival next year, taking to the pyramid stage on Sunday 25 June for the festival's closing night. In a statement announcing the news, Elton said there is no more fitting way to say goodbye to his British fans, adding that he can't wait to embrace the spirit of the festival. The show will mark the end of his farewell yellow brick road tour, which recently wrapped in the US.
