Before the Oscars had even begun, Everything Everywhere All at Once had already made history – 2023 saw the highest number of Asian actors ever nominated across the acting categories – so, it was hardly surprising that the genre-bending film went from strength to strength at the Oscars. Stars Ke Huy Quan and Jamie Lee Curtis took home Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress, while Michelle Yeoh was crowned Best Actress in an emotional moment. The critically-acclaimed film also scored Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Director and Best Editing – talk about winning big! 

It was also a milestone night for The Whale's Brendan Fraser, who took to the stage to accept his award for Best Actor. Delivering a heartfelt acceptance speech, the Hollywood star struggled to hold back tears as he thanked his family and friends for their support.
