The White Lotus is returning for a third season, and this time we will be visiting a branch of the increasingly chaotic hotel chain in a very different part of the world.
While season one was set in Hawaii, and season two's drama took place in Sicily, it looks like season three will be set in Thailand. According to Variety, the production will be filmed at one of the Four Season's luxury hotels in Thailand, which are based in Bangkok, the Golden Triangle, Chiang Mai and Koh Samui. HBO has yet to confirm the show's new location.
The show's creator Mike White previously opened up about what to expect from the upcoming season, telling Vanity Fair: "My instinct is that maybe it has something to do with spirituality. Eastern versus Western religion, or Western people in an Eastern culture.
"Maybe after sex it would be nice to have something that’s a little more celestial or something that’s a little more out of the carnal, I guess. But I don’t know. I have to beg off, to be honest, because I don’t really know."
However, season three – and spoiler alert for those who have yet to watch season two – will not feature Jennifer Coolidge, who starred as Tanya in seasons one and two. In the season two finale, Tanya discovered that a group of men she befriended during her trip were actually plotting her murder, and manages to shoot and kill them before knocking herself out and drowning.

Speaking about the decision to kill Tanya, Mike admitted that Jennifer had a suggestion for her character's future, explaining: "In the water tank, she's like, 'Maybe we should just do one where she wakes up and she pulls herself out.' But we didn't shoot that."
He added: "Obviously it's not going to be the end of me working with Jennifer. I want to work with her again. But it is kind of maybe the end of the road for Tanya on White Lotus and Jennifer on White Lotus, which is sad. It is sad for me too."
