Married at First Sight Australia's most recent episode was not short of twists and turns, and viewers watching at home were left shocked when one star confirmed cheating rumours that have been swirling.
During episode 14, which aired on Tuesday evening, things came to a head for Claire Nomarhas and Jesse Burford when Claire finally came clean about her secret kiss with Adam Seed behind her husband's back.
The couple had faced a number of tough times in their relationship since tying the knot at the beginning of the season, including one awkward moment on their honeymoon. Check out the video below to see what unfolded on their trip to the Whitsundays…
Meanwhile, in the new episode, Claire could be heard saying: "I feel so guilty and so shameful, he doesn't know the truth," before adding: "I'm carrying this big secret and I need to get it off my chest." Claire then could be seen bursting into tears on screen, telling the camera: "I just disrespected this whole process."
Fans watching at home were angered by Claire's admission, particularly as it came after much denial from both Claire and Adam earlier in the series. One person tweeted: "So turns out Claire and Adam gaslit Jesse!!! He knew something happened and they flat out denied it #MAFSAU."

A second was in agreement and wrote: "I can't believe Claire, she and Adam kissed and when initially confronted about it she made out as though Jesse was paranoid and it was all in his head. Not cool Claire, not cool."
A third added: "It's not Claire cheating that is the bad thing, it's the fact that Jesse was right about what was happening so they gaslit him until he BROKE DOWN mortified he acted so jealous and crazy and spent WEEKS trying to fix these perceived character flaws and make things right #MAFSAU."
Elsewhere in the new episode, viewers met two new couples who got married. The new couples are Evelyn and Rupert and Tayla and Hugo.
