Al Roker has definitely been known to leave his co-stars mystified or in splits while on the Today Show, but his latest move was clearly a divisive one.
While on a segment discussing their favorite snacks, Al opted to display an unappetizing-looking array of PayDay bars, although his co-hosts weren't too pleased.
It all came to a head when he actually picked up one of the bars to eat, and as evidenced by the rest of the panel's reactions in the video below, fans were just as split.
After posing his dilemma to the viewers, who were encouraged to voice their opinions on Twitter, he was immediately inundated by a barrage of responses.
Several viewers encouraged him to eat the bar, leaving tweets along the lines of: "Eat the payday!!! I don't care what anyone says. They're delicious. I love them too."

However, a few actively discouraged him from doing it, as one said: "No! A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips," although the decision was ultimately made for them.
A Twitter poll released by the show had over 70% vote for the option "Absolutely," culminating in Al and Hoda eating the bar from opposite ends, Lady and the Tramp style.
Al eventually gave the majority of his fans what they wanted
"America's not ready," Craig Melvin said when his co-host told him he was about to do it, to which Al confidently responded: "America wants this."
Moments of comic relief are definitely par for the course for the Today Show hosts, with the central panel of five consisting also of Hoda Kotb, Carson Daly, and Savannah Guthrie.

Savannah, who is currently off on a week-long vacation, recently had her own moment on the show that quickly caught the attention of fans on social media.
While she and her co-hosts reported on a story on a lawsuit brought out against Buffalo Wild Wings, she was left incredulous, as you can see in the video below.
The 51-year-old was in disbelief that she was having to even talk about this story, saying: "Is this The Onion? What are we doing? What's happening here?"
