The Night Agent is Netflix's number one right now so it’s safe to say the political thriller has gone down a treat with fans. Viewers are loving the gripping plot and the cast, which is led by Super 8 actor Gabriel Basso as FBI agent Peter Sutherland.
Gabriel is no stranger to acting thanks to appearing in big films and TV shows when he was younger, but his return to the screen comes after a bit of a break away from the world of acting.
However, it seems the star comes from a thespian background and his siblings are actors too. Find out more about his famous relatives below.
Who is Gabriel Basso's famous mother?
Gabriel was born in St. Louis, Missouri to a lawyer father named Louis J. Basso Jr. and his mother, Marcie. Although his father wasn't an actor, his mother Marcie had a credit in the film, Ghost Image. It's clear Gabriel's parents supported his venture into acting from a young age and by the time he was in his early teens, he had landed roles in big films and popular television shows.
His big break came in 2010 when he landed a regular part in the comedy-drama series, The Big C, as Adam Jamison. Before that, he did have a number of small roles in popular TV shows like iCarly and Eastwick. In 2011, he landed a role in the Hollywood movie, Super 8, as Martin Read.

The latter, Annalise, who is the youngest, is perhaps best-known for her role in Snowpiercer, but she also has credits in the films Standing Up, Oculus and Oujia: Origin of Evil.
What else is there to know about Gabriel Basso?
Although he began acting at a young age, the star did have a bit of a break from acting before landing a role in the 2020 film, Hillbilly Elegy, and his part in The Night Agent. Gabriel told Netflix's Tudum: "I sort of tuned out. I took a big break and I enjoyed old spy movies."
Away from his career, Gabriel is also a proud father to his daughter who was born in 2020.
