Bronte posted a lengthy caption on Instagram about the fallout of the relationship and how she's been dealing with the split. She wrote in part: "I wanted this to work for so many reasons, reasons that no one will ever know or understand. Walking away from false hope & promises is not easy in real life, yet alone [sic] in an experiment you have given up EVERYTHING to be a part of.

She added: "For any woman who has been in a similar situation, it is not weak to walk away. I will forever feel an immense amount of guilt for trying to make it work with someone who never wanted me to begin with and showing women everywhere that this is okay to keep choosing someone because you are scared to be alone."

Harrison has also kept mostly to himself since filming the show. The 32-year-old builder from New South Wales has shared some thoughts about how he was portrayed on the programme. "I don't meet this definition of a coward because I have endured moments within the experiment that have been unpleasant while being courageous in my relationship. #MAFS."

As for the other girl he was reportedly seeing on the outside, there's no word on whether they stayed together but the reality star did say it was "blown out of proportion."
