NCIS star Katrina Law is known and loved for her portrayal of Jessica Knight in the long-running CBS series – but did you know the actress is taking on a new role away from the drama?
The 37-year-old is starring in a new short film, titled Mayfly, which she co-wrote with her husband Keith Andreen, who directed his wife in the movie.
The film, which also stars Yellowjackets actor Warren Kole, sees a mysterious woman break into the home of a best-selling self-help author, forcing him to confront scars long thought healed.
The full synopsis reads: "Best-selling self-help author Aaron Driscoll may look like a successful motivational speaker on the outside, but inside, he hides a dark secret, that he thought would remain buried deep in his past.
"After a long day of talk shows, book signings, and motivational speaking, he returns home to his mansion and passes out, only to be startled awake by what initially appears to be an obsessed fan holding him at gunpoint, demanding the truth about his shameful past, and forcing him into a painful reckoning that will either kill him or be his salvation."

The film, which was shot in June last year, is set to be released this year.
Mayfly marks the first time Keith has directed his wife in a film. The couple, who tied the knot in 2013, share a daughter Kinley, four, together.
It's clear that the couple are very supportive of each other's careers, with Katrina revealing that Keith has been her "acting coach since 2009" in an interview with Pop Culturalist. "2009 is when I started really booking everything," she said. "He's been really great at being able to say, 'You're doing one of your tricks' or 'I can see you're phoning it in.' He's been great because he knows me personally. He's able to call me out pretty quickly."
